All rules and expectations will be covered and gone over in detail in class. These are here for a refresher if you need to be reminded of them from time to time. They are also posted in the classroom on the wall.
Mrs. Davis's Classroom Rules:
1. Use walking feet at all times while in the building. You can run and play as much as you want during recess. 2. Use your time wisely. You should have something to be working on or reading at all times. 3. Pay attention and give respect to everyone. 4. Follow directions. You are all old enough to know that the teacher should not have to ask you to do something more than once. 5. Do not give up! Always try your best! You got this! 6. Raise your hand to ask for permission and to answer questions. 7. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. If someone is being rude to you or threatens to hurt you, please come tell me! 8. Do not look at other people's work or tests. This is serious and you can get into a lot of trouble for doing so. 9. Use inside voices at all times while inside the building. You will have plenty of time to yell and scream while outside during recess.
Mrs. Davis's Classroom Expectations:
1. Be Respectful- listen to your teacher, listen to your classmates, wait your turn to talk 2. Be Responsible- Come to class on time and be prepared to learn. Make sure you have all materials that are required for class (any books we are using, binder, pencil, highlighters, etc.) 3. Be Honest- If you don't understand something ask for help! We need to master everything! 4. Be Polite- Try to express your opinion in a nice way. Even if you disagree, there is no need to be rude.
Consequences:
If you are not following classroom rules, you will be given two verbal warnings. After the second verbal warning, I will ask you to tell me which rule you have broken and the reason for the rule. I will also then have you tell me the consequence. The consequence is: a note home to parents stating why you got into trouble. They will need to sign the note and send it back to school in your binder. If we have trouble again the next day with the same rule, then after the second verbal warning, instead of a note home, you will have to take a trip to the principals office.
